The 'about me' section is a work in progress, just as I myself embark on a journey of discovery every single day. As an Amsterdammer, raised with the spaciousness of the northern Groningen region, both in terms of mentality and the broad perspective offered by the Groningen landscape, I love to travel, use color, create space, and enjoy working on location. My background is broad, with drawing as a foundation. I am a true generalist. A great curiosity for innovation, new environments, color, materials, and discovering possibilities are all part of this.

This broad foundation has shaped my specific perspective and working method in my independent and commissioned work, and has often been a reason to contribute to the design during the initial phase and execution of construction projects.
I greatly enjoyed guiding and coaching students from Mediacollege. Listening carefully and seeing where students' individual opportunities might lie and then helping them along their way was incredibly fulfilling. This broad foundation also proved very useful when guiding cultural trips both domestically and abroad.

I feel privileged with all that I can do and undertake, and I believe I have a fantastic profession. Over the years, I have collaborated with many different people. Of course, some collaborations go better than others. I look back on them with pleasure. In stressful situations, we often had a lot of fun and achieved great things together. There is often a humorous side to be discovered, and I enjoy seeking that out. For me, thinking in terms of possibilities, solutions, and what *can* be done in the here and now, is a meaningful way of life. That's how I live and work.
I work interdisciplinarily, at varying locations both domestically and abroad. Conceived and executing associative concepts and art projects, whether with multiple parties or not, and finding a wide variety of solutions within them, is a constant in my existence. This is always on and I do it with great enthusiasm. I hope my work inspires, challenges, opens an unexpected door, brings joy, new insights, or beauty. The act of creation certainly does that.
As an artist, I find it only logical to step off the beaten path and explore other perspectives by constantly seeking space and wonder.
The core of my work is an investigation into how people give meaning to their environment through concepts, color, form, material, and craft. I do this by creating work, but also by continuously developing my capabilities through research and knowledge.
