The knight's hall of the bulb region

Last year, the 8 PM news showed images of people standing in the middle of the bulb fields to be photographed. A peculiar phenomenon I wanted to take a closer look at. So I took a tour to the bulb region. It was even more enjoyable than I had imagined. I saw a kind of small, two-seater cars packed with tourists, people on bikes, motorcycles, cars – in short, everything that could move seemed to be in motion. It's understandable. The fields shimmer with color. They are beautiful.

I went again recently, this time with Noordwijkerhout as my destination, to a large warehouse where the floats for the flower parade are built. Highly recommended if you want to get into a good mood. The atmosphere is incredibly fun. The construction takes a few days, during which everything has to be done. Everyone from the local community, young and old, helps to make it happen. If you're in the area, also visit the L.A.M. museum in Lisse, which has an art collection focused on food. A top collection!
